Backbends in a yoga sequence, are an essential part of maintaining a healthy spine and strengthening the muscles of the back to support the spine. In this workshop we will learn how to prepare the body for Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel pose) and other challenging backbends. Students will learn how to sequence a practice specifically for backbends and how to use props to create healthy alignment in these difficult but highly beneficial poses.
